To create a supporting report to the original conference compendium that compiled and communicated the events of the “Asylum Matters for Scotland” conference in June 2005. The report needed to highlight the issues raised and appeal as a good read rather than just a worthy read. It also had to fit into the original compendium whilst operating as a stand alone book in its own right.
We created a square perfect bound book that made use of dynamic photographic images to support the hard hitting subject matter. Careful attention to typography ensured the text was accessible and highlighted the salient sound bytes prompted by the diverse conference audience.
The book is an attractive and informative piece of design that works equally well as part of the original compendium or as a stand alone report.
